Lots of folks would like to try their hand at making a coin ring. However, there are a few basic tools that are needed, and some of what is available can be a bit expensive for the novice just getting started. You might be pleasantly surprised to learn one can get started with just a few
basic tools. A steel ring mandrel, a rawhide or plastic dead-blow hammer, a butane torch and an inexpensive Punch and Die set (available from Harbor-Freight) constitute a minimum set of tools.
Of course, making sure you punch the starting hole in the center of your coin is the best way to start your coin ring. A Ross Coin Punch Alignment Card will not only insure that you punch the hole dead center, but these Cards are so cheap you will want to pick up 2 or 3 of them. They are dead center accurate, easy to use and very economical.
The Ross Coin Punch Alignment Cards are machined to exact specifications, after receiving your order - and will typically be in the USPS Mail to you the next day.
